Commissioned in the Indian Air Force as an Air Traffic Control Officer on 30 June 2012, Squadron Leader Shikha Pandey is the first IAF officer to play for the Indian Women cricket team and made her international debut in the year 2014.

She has represented India in all 3 formats and has been part of 5 World Cups: 2014 (T20), 2016 (T20), 2017, 2020 (T20) and 2021.

In the year 2019, she was featured in ICC Women’s ODI Team of the year.

She is a recipient of the Dilip Sardesai Award for Sporting Excellence.
