Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) & (Electronics)

  • A prospect can join the Aeronautical Engineering branch of Indian Air Force through one of the following:
  • (a)National Defence Academy (NDA) entry.
  • Entry through NDA entry is available only in Aeronautical Engineering(Electronics) branch for prospects who have successfully completed 10 +2. The detailed QRs given below.

    • Short service commission in Technical Branch is for 10 years extendable by 4 years.
    • Final year/semester students can also apply for all entries. All such candidates should not have any present backlog and should have scored a minimum of 60% marks up to last semester/ year for which results have been declared at the time of applying/ AFSB testing.
    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    AERONAUTICAL ENGINEER (ELECTRONICS) {AE(L)}

    Candidates with a minimum Of 50% marks each In Physics And Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years graduation/integrated Post-Graduation qualification In Engineering/ Technology from a recognised University or cleared sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate Membership Examination of the institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines:-
